For one amber figurine two thousand years ago you could buy a slave - they know about it, those who participated in previous editions of the European Day of Amber. This year it will be the fourth time in 1914 and 15 August in Konopnica and Wieluń.

This event is not only good fun with history in the background, but also to promote knowledge about the course of the ancient amber route and its branches, one of which led along the Warta - this is confirmed by numerous archaeological sites. On the basis of creating a group of Polish Reconstructive Amber Road, which is to be the showpiece of the route, once a commercial, tourist today. An attraction of this year's celebration will be the presentation of the group. Ultimately it has to count more than 50 people, mostly Celtic and stained barbaric.

Amber Europe Day is also great fun. For many activities await attendees. The traditional treatment of amber will present Eric Smigiel Popkiewicz and Zenon. There will also be games and an exhibition of amber jewelry. Children seek out pieces of gold of the North "on the banks of the Warta, and adults will compete for the purse of amber in a haystack.

In Wielun already can feel the atmosphere of two thousand years. On the square you can admire the restored Legion car buyer's era of the Roman Empire, which after traveling to the Baltic amber. Its authors are Kalisz artisans: Mieczyslaw and Wladyslaw Machowiczowie.
