Baltic amber is a resin secreted by trees growing on the site of today's Scandinavia, so that about 40 million years ago. This is very similar to that which the resin can see everyone on skaleczonym tree. Baltic amber is not the only one that exists amber, amber, there is virtually across the globe. Baltic amber, however, is unique among all the varieties of physical properties distinguish it, which makes it very easy to process. Baltic amber is a unique resin, stands out not only the physical properties, but also a variety of colors. Lumps of snow are not uncommon even in milk, they are highly valued in Poland, but no man in the west are not in demand, it is very strange, because it is without doubt the finest type of Baltic amber. Popular in the West, particularly in Germany are lumps of cognac-colored, translucent stones are colored wine. Yellow nuggets can be divided into transparent and opaque. Transparent are often subjected to heat treatment for brandy and sent to Germany, opaque varieties are made into jewelry. Very often the common type of amber is so zwaby żużlak, it is a resin with a high content of gravel and other organic and mineral inclusions. Żużlaki are black and opaque, can be a combination of "healthy" and zażużlonego amber, amber, this type of treatment is cumbersome and hard to find jewelry with such specimens. The less common colors include red amber to blue and green (the latter two are extremely rare, especially green opaque). Very often pieces of amber are not homogeneous, the connection meets all of the above colors except red, which appears as a homogeneous lumps sometimes only in combination with żużlakiem. For example, the color blue does not occur in a homogeneous chunk, all the blue nuggets I've ever seen have been very complicated and the blue color was dominant. |
